More freebie - like I said free to use in your artwork just don't claim them as your own.

Got hold of some really cool vintage postcards in a yard sale recently. I have them already scanned into the computer - to share here. Also have a good friend who smokes fancy cigars and he has been supplying me with cigar bands - they are so cool looking - I did notice the shine doesn't show up so much - so the scans are not so good - they look better in person... Use them or your art if you wish, just don't claim them as yours, is all that I ask from you. Every chance I get I post a few more. Maybe get into a routine of posting some each week if I can.. Enjoy!

I also have some vintage greeting cards I need to scan but they may wait until I get moved

Once A Week Mojo

I hold a weekly Challenge on Lineweaving.com  - I pick four patterns/tangles from our gallery each week and everyone who wants to play does an art piece. There are quite a few followers who play along, keep me posting each week. We are on week 49 this week - almost to week 52 and it will be a full year. Its been fun and I will show you my pages. I am working in Book 2. (blank journals I have made to put them in)

Have fun checking them out

Wicked Winter

It seems about the time you think spring has sprung - we get another snow storm - last weekend as an example - it was nearly 80 degrees on Saturday and Sunday we had a raging snow storm with winds howling and below freezing.. Not a good thing to keep motivated and upbeat - at least for me..

The whole purpose of this blog was to show you my art - and have failed.

Over on lineweaving.com  I am involved in a Teacup art book - its a collaboration project held by Cindy Angiel. We had 13 sign up so we made 12 pages - each for each of the players - a cover (which was our contribution to our book and an extra set of pages for a book she can sell to recoup her postage fees since she isn't asking for any return postage from us ( plus the black card stock she plans on using to put our little books together) So I have been working on those lately - got them finally finished - just need to pack them up to mail this week.

Really behind on DLP amd Journal 52. I keep changing my mind on how to.  Decided to work in a composition book and do both - DLP is suppose to be in a planner type book - but I can never seem to stick with planners.. Guess I'm not a planner type person. I do write lists of things to do for the day.
I keep thinking just do the prompts - not worry about the planner part.  The Journal 52 - 3 ring notebook and just do a page at a time to put in the notebook.. That was what I was going to do - but the pages are too much it seems - composition book seems smaller but large at the same time. So that is what I am working on this morning - setting it up for trying to get caught up on both.

So that is where I am today...

Cold temps, nurses stopping by, doctors visits, & no sunlight - just trying to get by it seems

Monday, February 3, 2014

Have been working on art lately- slowly it seems - the weather just does not help - we got sunshine this morning but of course there is a huge snow storms coming by tomorrow morning -so I will be out running the errands I need to get done today - this may be my only chance for a bit - Post office is on the list since I have ordered boxes twice now and they wont send. (get boxes today and they will show up tomorrow- anyone want to bet?) Trying to establish online with the post office - since the snow and cold - I can just print postage out and put it out to be picked up - I do have a postage scale.. Maybe my swaps will go smoother or at least that's my thinking- but if they can't deliver boxes when asked - we will see I guess...

Nothing else going on around here but the normal every day things.. just cold and dreary.
